Dear Clients,

This storm is expected to be very severe.  It is estimated that the overnight snowfall rates could exceed 2″ per hour with total accumulations of 5-9″ . Please back your cars into your garages or driveways. If the storm proceeds the way the experts predict, it is unlikely that we will have everyone perfectly cleaned out by 7 AM.  It is very likely that Northern Illinois will be snowed under tonight and tomorrow.  We also need to attend to the safety of our trucks and drivers.  But all that said, you know that we are the most reliable snow service, so be patient, sit by the fire, and know that we will get to you!

SNOW!!! February 8th 7:30 PM

February 8, 2018 Posted by PlowBoss

Dear Clients,

We are anticipating quite a snow event within the next few days.  We will start our routes as soon as there is enough snow on the ground. Please remember that if it snows as much as they predict, it may require several plowings. Below is the clause in the contract that explains such a situation. Please be safe and a little patient with this weather.  Our primary goal is your safety and, of course, that of our crews.

Customer understands that extreme weather conditions will result in multiple, billed plowings. It is also understood that the snow crews may be pulled off the road if the weather proves to be unsafe for them.  Customer understands that when heavy snow accumulation (approx. 8” or more) occurs, a one car-width pathway will be created to allow access in and out of your driveway.  Hand shoveling will be suspended until final cleanup, at which time your driveway will be fully plowed and whatever shoveling, as stated in the contract, will be completed.

Updates will follow!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Dear Clients,

The Crews are starting the routes as I am writing this.  It is a bit messy out there, so we want to get you all cleaned up for the morning. Take care if you are driving tonight.

December 28th Update

December 28, 2015 Posted by PlowBoss

Dear Clients,

Just updating you on this storm.  We are doing our routes and making sure that you do not have a sheet of ice in your driveway tomorrow morning.  This is an extremely odd storm.  The water and ice we are moving is very heavy, so we may only be able to clear  a small path to your door. We will  make price adjustments accordingly.

Thank you.

DECEMBER 28th,2015

December 28, 2015 Posted by PlowBoss

Dear Clients,

This is a tough weather event.  We have been monitoring the snow/sleet all day.  In all likelihood we will be beginning our routes right after the anticipated stoppage sometime very early evening.  This is a storm where we have to make the determination to give our clients the best service by plowing out driveways due to dangerous icy conditions, rather than copious amounts of snow.  As soon as we make that decision, we will update you and let you know when we start our routes.

Keep warm and be careful on this ice!

Another Snow Event!

February 26, 2015 Posted by PlowBoss

Dear Clients,

We were out all night last night plowing.  We are out again this afternoon cleaning up again, because this was a messy storm.  One of the chief concerns is when the streets and driveways are iced up and then the snow keeps falling as it did last night after we plowed.  As snow experts we know that it is dangerous not to clean up that type of snow as soon as possible. One thing to avoid is to have a glacier in your driveway. Koerner Snow Removal has state of the art equipment and a mechanic on call 24/7. Our goal is to get to you as soon as possible and also to keep our clients safe. We thank you for your business.

Keep warm,

Rich and the Snow Team

Blizzard of 2015

February 4, 2015 Posted by PlowBoss

We made it through the 5th largest storm in Chicago history. My crews and I worked 48 hours straight to get all our customers plowed out in a reasonable amount of time.  This snow was very heavy. With each push we were clearing 8-9″ of snow out.  That took longer for each driveway than it normally does.  It isn’t called a blizzard for nothing.  One of our prime concerns is safety. Our equipment is state of the art and very well kept up. That keeps our plowers and shovelers safe to get the job done. Thanks for your patience during this event.

Winter Storm Warning in effect Tomorrow

December 23, 2014 Posted by PlowBoss

Tomorrow morning a winter weather warning goes into effect. We are prepared for heavy wet snow possibly in the 3 to 7 inch range. There is also a possibility for even more snow depending on how the system forms. We are preparing for a white Christmas we’re going to try to begin service as soon as conditions are safe. Have a safe and happy holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone.

New Equipment

October 30, 2014 Posted by PlowBoss

We have added a brand new 2015 Silverado 2500HD to our fleet. It is specifically designed for Snow Plowing and is arguably the finest “Plow Ready” truck General Motors has ever produced. It has a brand new Blizzard Power Plow mounted to the front which has shrinks and grows from an modest 8 feet to a massive ten feet. All of our vehicles have auxillary lighting and state of the art back up cameras with night-vision. Our trucks also have GPS units which are tracked in real time by our dispatcher during winter events. This enables our dispatcher to efficiently coordinate, direct, and inform both drivers and clients if there is a special situation or emergency that requires immediate attention. We encourage our clients to let us know how we can improve or customize our service to more exactly meet their desires and expectations of service. We dedicate our winters to our clients, and never stop until we get the job done. We love the snow, but we are driven by the appreciation of our clients.  We are fueled by kind words, smiles, waves, and countless other gestures of appreciation shown to us by our gracious clients. This is the reason that we dedicate our lives to this line of work. Our families and friends understand that we have an uncompromising responsibility every time the snow falls. Our families and friends are the unsung heroes that make our business possible. They adapt and coordinate selflessly to manage details and responsibilities we can’t manage while plowing snow. Thanks to all our returning clients, new clients, and our families for supporting us and helping us grow and improve every year. Have a great winter and we look forward to seeing you soon.
