Melting Snow Piles and Ice

January 26, 2012 Posted by PlowBoss

Just a reminder to pay attention to the puddles being created by melting snow. If it is a puddle now, when the temperature hits 24 tonight, that puddle becomes an ice patch. When it snows on top of this ice, you now have a hidden tripping hazard. There is also potential for getting stuck or having an accident. We recommend treating any ice hazard prior to any snow events. We are always available to address these hazards at any point during the winter season. Please exercise caution walking and driving during these freeze-thaw cycles.
